Good morning everyone I am starting with 1443 this morning and would like to get a few posts up today, God willing. Thank you all for the prayers for my husband. Friday the day after surgery we found ourselves back at the Dr.'s for an emergency visit.
The pain was pretty bad, causing little sleep here in Marksville, but a trip to the Dr. a quick check up and new meds ordered did the trick. Dennis was finally able to rest and I was relieved that he was relieved. Never thought I would say I love to hear him snore, but knowing he was sleeping took a lot of stress off of me.
He is none weight bearing, which for someone our size is pretty hard to do without hurting another part of our bodies, but he has gotten into a rhythm and is doing quite well. While we were at the Dr.'s we got to see the incision cut on his leg. We were both heartbroken to find that they had to cut into the one and only tattoo he has on his leg, which holds a heart and my name in a ribbon.
As we say his heart was broken, and my name pretty much erased. He doesn't wear a ring because of his job, but the tattoo has always been with him no matter what. He is thankful that they were able to fix his leg, but getting hurt at work took much more then money from our family this time.
The kids have off from school this week we decided I would take the kids to see a movie for the one thing fun they will do during their time off. It isn't much, but enough to get them out of the house for a while. I have two tickets so I only have to pay for two tickets, popcorn, and soda. While out I will stop and get the few items we need from the store.
Later this week Dennis and I have a phone conference, and an appointment for his Dr., so they can check on his leg again. We had a nice friend lend us their portable toilet so he doesn't have to bend so low on our toilet, taking a chance on hurting his knee, and our landlord is suppose to build a ramp, but hasn't as of yet.
I have been doing ok, just busy, which has kept me from posting. Dennis has been worried I will get sick while I am trying to do everything around the house. I am quite tired by the time Dinner is served, and glad to hit the pillow at night. For the most part the kids have been helping out here and there.
Dennise's new job is to take the garbage out for collection day, and Deanna has been sleeping downstairs on the loveseat at night to keep an eye on Dennis if he should need anything. Mostly just in case he falls while trying to go to the bathroom during the night.
Samantha was in the process of moving out, but has been staying here again because she didn't like any of the child care workers out near her job. Last night she got a call from another job she had put in a application for that she has a interview with tonight after her other job, which keeps her closer to our home because of where it is. More pay for her and something she had wanted to do, which was to work with elderly people.
She is really excited about this, and I hope she gets the job. She also had a interview with a apartment owner out this way for a place to rent, which would keep me watching Lilly while she is working. She was going to move in with her boyfriend, but not sure how that will work with her having a car and his job being in the opposite direction of where her job could be. They work together, the same shift and same job so it would have been good. I am sure they will work out something.
Dennise is in the school play this year they are doing "Guy's and Doll's". Dennise is also getting ready for their concert which I will have to record because Dennis won't be able to make it. Deanna is doing well at basketball, and the couch is even telling the boys to pass to Deanna so she can try and make baskets during the game. I am so proud of the accomplishments she has made this year. The last game was a tie with 18 points.
Dorothy is doing well at school, loves her teachers and friends. She saw one of her friends from school the other day and ran over and gave him a big hug. Lilly is talking up a storm and is growing like a weed. We are still working on bringing Bryan home but have been slowed down by the damage to Dennis's leg. Other then that I have one more announcement which I will get to in another post.
Have a great day everyone. Tell me what have you been up to?

we had a busy weekend with Sean's dad here and nearly averting catastrophe with our drain pipe into the septic...but we had help here which was great, it's all in the timing...they were also working on Mark's (Sean's brother) shop which is why they were all here this weekend...and so Sean could get to his CAT scan this morning...we will know the results next week
The only thing I've done all week is go to the grocery store. I'm working on my resolutions, so concentrating on meeting my daily goals. Not the stuff of tales, but it keeps me busy.
get passed this, because 'things happen in life' that we don't have any control over.
Glad that the Kids are helping and that you could take them to a Movie.
Did You finally get the Walker for Dennis ? I Hope so.
I have been helping with little James and watching my eye closely and putting the drops
in four times a day like the Eye Doctor said to do. He wants me back again this week.
I have some major computer connectivity issues going on. I can work for a few minutes then have to reboot. Yuck!
all of you are in our thoughts and prayers every day
blessings
